Thanks for the invite. I've read your blogs and they are right on target with the current economy. Very good advise.
I would very much like my products to be reviewed some time on your blog. Let me know how I could facilitate. Have a great day.

Hi Eric,

Hows are you going?

Just visited your site mate and I see that you use AutoCAD Civil 3D 2009, as do I in conjunction with CivilCAD 6.

Just wondering how you find it as far as volumes go, and if you know how to get a decent volume report out of it?
I only seem to be able to get about 3 lines in the command window... which is not very convincing when clients want to see how you arrived at a figure.
I think it is great for Cut to Fill drawings etc, just looking to get a decent report out of it. Any ideas?

Cheers

Hi eric,

As the USA does not use the metric system I was curious as to what units of measurement you primarily use. Metres or feet and inches?

Hi Eric,

I am primarilty involved with civil sub-divisional work, from bulk earthworks right through to the finished product. Including Sewer, drainage and roads.
I have been very busy for the last 2 years, but now it is all but dead here, hence I am on-line all the time, I love the work, just wish there was more of it.
I'm having a hard time figuring out how to get hold of contacts.. and what businesses to approach, but it is all a learning curve I suppose.
I have pretty much resorted to scouring the phone book and making calls to random people, I'm yet to see how successful that is.
I think the tyranny of distance is the biggest problem, the boom has moved up north of the state, only a couple of days drive away :)
Maybe I'll get some good ideas from your new discussion.

Darren.

Hi Eric,

Over here we have two "classes" of surveyors, Licensed and Engineering, then theres mine surveyors but... well... they lost the notion of accuracy and precision many years ago.
Is it the same over there and if so what do you fall into?
I'm an engineering surveyor, but I work for myself, it never ceases to amaze me how Licensed surveyors look down at their "poor" cousins, does this situation occur over there in the states?
